Conflict Resolution I: This seminar is intended to introduce participants to the field of conflict resolution.  The seminar covers communication skills, negotiation, conflict theory, cause of conflict, alternative dispute resolution methods, and mediation.  Participants can expect a highly interactive seminar to make this training informative and entertaining.
  • Two day training seminar (16 hours)
  • 12 CLE credits (11 general & 1 ethics)
  • Cost:   $250.00
Conflict Resolution II:  This advanced seminar is intended to assist the experienced practitioner in  enhancing their skills.  This six hour seminar focuses on more complicated dynamics that present themselves at the mediation table.  Participants can expect to build on their professional experiences and those of their colleagues.
Note:  Different topics are covered in the Spring and Fall sessions.

Mediating Matters Before the Clerk of Court
(Guardianship & Estates):
The NC Supreme Court has adopted rules governing mediation of proceedings within the purview of matters before the Clerk of Superior Court. In order to become certified to mediate Guardianship and Estate cases, a 10 hour training requirement is mandated. The A D R Center has been approved by the Dispute Resolution Commission to present this seminar to mediators seeking this certification. Hear experienced mediators, attorneys and Clerks present insightful and practical information in this area. The NC State Bar has approved 9 CLE credits for this seminar.
  • Ten (10) Hour Seminar
  • Costs: $350.00
  • 10 CLE Credits (9 general & 1 ethics)
Non-Attorney Mediator Seminar: This six hour training session on North Carolina court organization, legal terminology, civil court procedure, the attorney-client privilege, the unauthorized practice of law, and common legal issues arising in Superior Court/Family Financial cases that meets the requirement for non-attorney mediators seeking Superior Court and/or Family Financial Issues certification. This seminar satisfies the requirements of DRC Rule 8 B. (2) (a) and is approved by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission.
  • Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Cost: $225 includes materials and lunch.
